LGBTQ therapy or queer-affirmative therapy, is a space specially designed for individuals like you. It’s a form of mental health counseling that focuses on your unique needs and experiences as someone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or any other diverse sexual orientation or gender identity.

The main goal of LGBTQ therapy is to create a safe, supportive, and understanding environment where you can freely explore your identity, navigate challenges, and address any mental health concerns you may have. At Perfectly Queer Counseling, you’ll be met with absolute inclusivity and affirmation. Your sexual orientation and gender identity are completely valid and deserving of respect and acceptance. We want you to feel comfortable expressing yourself authentically.

We understand the unique challenges you might face, whether it’s coming out, dealing with family acceptance, facing discrimination, or coping with societal stigma. Together, we’ll work through these complexities and help you navigate the ups and downs of your journey. We can tackle a wide range of concerns from depression and anxiety to substance abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties, all with consideration for how they may or may not be related to your identities.

If you’re exploring your gender identity, we’re here to support you every step of the way, whether it’s during social transitioning, medical transitioning, or simply discovering more about yourself.

Family and relationship dynamics can also be complex, but we’ll work together to navigate these interactions with partners, parents, children, or other family members.
