Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to be queer to be seen here?

No, you do not have to be queer to be seen by one of our queer therapists. At Perfectly Queer Counseling, we welcome individuals of all identities, orientations, and backgrounds. Whether you’re exploring your identity, have already found it or are curious about something new, we are here to support you wherever you are on your journey.

  • Do you see couples?

Unfortunately, no. We only see individuals at this time.

If you would like referrals for queer-affirming couples therapists please let us know!

  • What ages do you work with?

We are able to work with anyone 13 years of age or older. Our providers have experience working with folks of all ages and are happy to provide referrals if you’re looking for therapy for someone under age 13.

  • Do you accept insurance?

This varies based on which provider you are seeing.

Our interns are in-network with Molina Medicaid, Coordinated Care Medicaid and CHPW Medicaid. They are unable to accept any other insurance. Their fee is $55 per session.

Staff therapists can accept Premera, Kaiser PPO, First Health, Anthem, Lifewise, Aetna, First Choice, Ambetter, Molina, CHPW Medicaid and Coordinated Care Medicaid. We are out of network for all other insurance. We do offer courtesy billing for out of network carriers. Contact our financial specialist (support@perfectlyqueercounseling.com) to learn more about your insurance plan and options.

  • How can I book a session?

Reach out through our Contact Us page and share a bit about what you're looking for. We'll follow up based on your preferences, insurance, and therapist availability to find the right fit.

  • Do you offer in-person services?

Yes! Our office is located in the Georgetown neighborhood in South Seattle. You and your provider can discuss what works best for you: in-person or remote sessions.
