Kier Schneider (They/Them)

Staff Therapist

LMHCA

Accepting new clients for July 2026!

Hi, my name is Kier (they/them) and I am a queer, nonbinary, white, therapist who lives in a fat body with chronic illnesses. All of these identities and privileges have influenced the way I have experienced the world and how I show up in this existence. I also am an avid reader, gardener, crafter, cook, and artist!

Most of my work has been with eating disorders, body image concerns, gender and sexuality exploration, as well as those entering life transitions and those who struggle with perfectionism and people pleasing. I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens that has deeply informed my liberation based practice. I utilize approaches and theories that emphasize individual autonomy, resilience, and returning to the self. I have an eclectic approach that includes person centered theory, attachment theory, and parts work, all within a trauma informed lens. My work is based around joy and liberation, with a strong emphasis to divest from oppressive frameworks and beliefs.

My passion lies in supporting people finding their inner truths and coming back to their sense of self. For people who are marginalized in our world, turning within can feel unsafe. My hope is to create a space for safe and brave exploration of the self that can bring you back home. I believe this process requires deep compassion, care, patience, and authenticity from both people in the therapeutic room. Sessions with me include curiosity and conversations about how our connection is supportive or might need reattuning.I am a believer in growth in community and think about things from a systemic viewpoint.

If all of this sounds like something you would be interested in exploring and investing in yourself, feel free to reach out! I look forward to meeting you!
